Business Development Manager Rail Terminal
For our rail terminal in Venlo, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who turns commercial opportunities into stable, recurring volumes. You will bring in new train services and customers and build strong relationships with rail operators, forwarders, shippers and logistics providers. You understand how decisions are made in intermodal transport and you know where to be to win a lane. You work closely with operations to make sure what you sell is realistic, scalable and delivered properly.
You will build and manage a clear sales pipeline and focus on the markets and corridors that create the most value for our terminal. You lead commercial discussions on schedules, cut-offs, capacity, pricing and performance agreements. You prepare offers and tenders, build business cases and close deals that result in recurring volumes and fixed trains via our terminal. You track progress, follow results and ensure internal teams are aligned in time.
Who are you?
You have commercial experience in logistics, preferably in intermodal/rail, terminals, forwarding or shipping. You are strong in new business and account development and you push for clear agreements. You can talk business and operations at the same time: transit times, capacity, equipment and operational requirements. You communicate easily in English; Dutch is a plus and German is a plus. You are independent, result-driven and comfortable being on the road and speaking to external stakeholders.
Where will you work?
You will join Cabooter Group in Venlo. We operate in intermodal logistics and terminal operations, connecting the main ports with the European hinterland. From Greenport Venlo you work closely with operations, planning and the commercial teams within the group, so commercial agreements are translated into reliable execution.
