Storage Under Customs Supervision (RTO)
Railterminal Greenport BV is officially recognised as a Temporary Storage Facility (RTO). Non-Union goods can remain under customs supervision without immediate payment of import duties or VAT during the storage period. Suitable for transit, temporary storage and onward distribution.

• RTO storage up to 90 days for non-Union goods.
• Optional customs warehouse for storage beyond 90 days (post-RTO).
• End-to-end customs handling, including all formalities and documentation.

• Container storage; Union goods are also possible (outside the RTO regime).

Process

• Pre-advice & delivery ‒ shipment is registered and the container is delivered to the terminal
• Inbound & registration ‒ placement under customs supervision with full administrative recording.
• Storage & monitoring ‒ secure storage with traceability and audit trail.
• Outbound ‒ upon clearance, transit or relocation, customs formalities are executed and controlled release follows.
